When I arrived here, I looked up to so many people. I still do. But to me, it was like everyone was on a different shelf. Like I was looking up at these powerful extroverts and charmers and amazing people and whatnot, and they had everything sorted out. And here was I, worrying over the smallest things. Hating myself for the smallest things.
[A shake of the head.]
I think I just realized that...maybe people above me, as cool as they are...they're not so different, after all.
I was a vicious tyrant, and a king who killed many. I murdered an entourage of men leading a lady to be betrothed, and kidnapped her. I cut down people like they were grass. I could care less. It never mattered to me.
Sure. If you ask me, you sound like you were the worst kind of villain. I wouldn't have trusted someone like you.
I don't know what happened to effect your change of heart, but the Mandricardo I've met in this dimension doesn't seem like someone who'd cut down everyone here like they were grass.
Some souls are stubborn to the core. But if you've already gotten what you deserved, I don't see the need to vilify you unless you do something abhorrent now.

[He sort of just. Huffs.]

[He discards the wrapper that came with the hamburger.]
Having worries doesn't make you lesser. Neither does hating yourself. It's what you do that determines your weight.
no subject
So there's...a lot to worry about.
no subject
What makes you call yourself a villain, anyway?

[He just. Sighs.]

. . . Listen here. Dying doesn't always change a person.
[It just happened to change the two of us.]

[THAT THOUGHT, SIR...]
I don't know...I don't even feel like I deserve to be in the Throne of Heroes. I mean, I just stole a horse one time that belonged to someone else...
[A pause.]
You...didn't die before you came here, did you? I feel like it's a pattern...
no subject
I died centuries ago. I was just given immortality to reverse my death.
no subject
I-Immortality? Sieghart...how did that happen? Bathed in the blood of a dragon? Got dipped in a magical river?
no subject
If there was a magical river in the middle of Archimedia, half of the continent would be immortal.
It's not a big deal. A tribe of immortals performed an operation to make me one of theirs.
no subject
...Um. A tribe, huh....why?
no subject
no subject
[Oh.]
That's...real nice of them. That's somethin' to be super grateful for.
no subject
[It was unbelievable kindness. They accepted me as one of theirs, so I abandoned my identity and joined them. But—]
But what's this about the Throne of Heroes?
no subject
G-Good for you! Um. And the Throne of Heroes is where Servants are summoned from. It's a place that, like, exists in its own world.
no subject
And you got there by stealing a horse?
